The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum in the seminar “Developing Sustainable Tourism”
The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum participated in the seminar successfully organized by the Archanes KPE on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th of April, in Epano Archanes, titled:
“Developing Sustainable Tourism: From Tourist to Traveller”
As part of the seminar, the Director of the Kazantzakis Museum, Mrs. Marilena Milathianaki, delivered a talk titled:
“Nikos Kazantzakis, the Traveller”
At the same time, the traveling photo exhibition “Memories… Traveling Festivals” was presented in the venue, curated by Chrysostomos Spetsidis and Giannis Mavrantonakis.
The exhibition was originally inaugurated in 2023 in Myrtia, as part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Kazantzakis Museum.
It will remain on display in Archanes at the DIAS Cultural Center and is open to the public.
The seminar was attended by the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Archanes-Asterousia, Mrs. Chara Geniataki, along with Municipal Councilors. Also present was the former Mayor of Lassithi Plateau, Mr. Giannis Stefanakis. Representing the Kazantzakis Museum were the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Andreas Metaxas, and the Secretary General, Mr. Vaggelis Dermitzakis.
