The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum mourns one of its distinguished members, Ambassador Michalis Koukakis, member of the Board of Directors since 2017, who passed away today.
He served our country from the position of Ambassador in numerous countries of the world, in many of them in difficult circumstances, while he was constantly close to The Nikos Kazantzakis Museum since its foundation, supporting it with all his strength from whatever position he was in.
The Board of Directors of the Museum held an extraordinary meeting today, Monday, May 27, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in an online meeting and decided the following:
1) Attend the exodus procession.
2) To express his sincere and warm condolences to his family.
3) To post this resolution on the website of the Foundation and to give it for publication in the local media.
4) Make a special mention on the Museum's website about the life and contribution of Michalis Koukakis both to the Museum and to the local community.
