In the Anemoyannis Hall of the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum, another initiative promoting openness and digital transformation in rural areas was successfully hosted

On Wednesday, February 12, the DIGITAL RURAL Interreg Europe workshop took place with great success.

Supported by the European Union, the Region of Crete, and the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, the workshop is part of the Region’s coordinated efforts for the “Crete – European Region of Gastronomy 2026” initiative.

The discussions focused on digitally upgrading rural areas and ensuring their smooth integration into the modern digital world.

The event concluded with a guided tour of the Museum’s Permanent Exhibition, highlighting the interactive digital technologies available to visitors.
