Art and literature festival
The Kazantzakis Museum, faithful to its annual rendezvous that it promised in 2016, prepares the festival "Traveling". This year's event, which is one of the events for the celebration of the "Year of Kazantzakis", will be dedicated to England and will be held in Heraklion and in Myrtia from the 12th to the 16th of July 2017.
The Festival will take place with the co-organization of the Region of Crete and the Municipality of Archanes-Asterousia, in collaboration with the Municipality of Heraklion, the Heraklion Antiquities Revenue Office, the Kazantzakis Publications, the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis, the Cultural Association of Myrtia, and with the kind sponsorship of shipowner Evangelos Marinakis, as well as the help of numerous friends and supporters of the Museum.
Through the "Traveling… England" Festival, the Kazantzakis Museum will bring to the audience the English atmosphere, in the way that Kazantzakis lived it, and will introduce these people to it through his texts and his permeating view.
Five days full of Literature and Art: readings, theater, dance, music, exhibits, events, children's activities.
